Remember the cosy comfort those pure wool blankets gave us as kids?
This listing is for an Australian designed and made hot water bottle cover.
Wool is naturally antiseptic and absorbent , these hottie covers are made from upcycled wool blankets so are sustainably made.
There are a number of choices of wool covers here. Some are finished with fabric bias and some utilise the original blanket stitching.
The cover measures 40cmx 24 cm (15 1/2" x 9 1/2 ") excluding loop.
The photo shows a standard hot water bottle being inserted inside the cover (not this cover...photo just to show you how it fits in.)
So attractive just to hang in your bathroom or place on your bed this practical hottie cover is like an envelope at the back ( just like a pillowcase)
The filled hottie can be put into the cover easily and the top flips over to contain it. ( see photos)
It is finished with the original blanket stitch and has a handy loop to hang it up.
This cover can be washed gently in a net bag in the machine or handwashed and pressed lightly.
Please always take care not to overfill your hot water bottle or use too hot water!
Please note that it takes a standard hot water bottle ( 2 litre) and does not come with one. Photo is to show use. Please do not use boiling water in your bottle.
They are readily available at chemists or shops such as kmart and should be renewed yearly.
